Pinnacle Pools Wins Gold at the 2026 SPASA Awards

There are pools you build, and there are pools you craft. The one that just earned us Gold at the 2026 SPASA Awards sits firmly in the second camp.
We're thrilled to share that Pinnacle Pools has won Gold for Concrete Pool up to $240,000 (NSW) at this year's SPASA Awards, the swimming pool and spa industry's most respected recognition program. The winning project is one we're enormously proud of, set high against the sweeping backdrop of the Illawarra escarpment in Dapto, and it came to life through a wonderful collaboration with Corey Fox Landscaping, whose vision shaped the overall design.
A pool with a sense of place
From the first conversation, this build was never going to be ordinary. The site itself demanded something special, an elevated position with dramatic views that called for a design with real presence rather than something that simply sat in the landscape.
What we delivered was a curved concrete pool finished in warm Savona limestone, framed by reclaimed antique terracotta battens. The result draws equally from Mediterranean tradition and the natural drama of its setting, a pool that feels like it has always belonged there.
Every element was chosen with intent. The limestone brings warmth and texture that softens beautifully in the afternoon light. The reclaimed terracotta carries a history and patina that simply can't be manufactured. And the curved detailing ties it all together with a sense of timelessness that we think will look just as good in thirty years as it does today.
Recognised twice over
Alongside the Gold, we were also named a Finalist for Renovation over $80,000 (NSW) for a very different kind of project at Bellevue Hill.
That one was a rescue. A barely one-year-old pool, built by a luxury home-builder, had failed on nearly every measure imaginable: structural cracks, incorrect plumbing, drainage and skimmer issues, no waterproofing, and concreting that was off-level, off-square and off-plumb. We were brought in to put it right, rebuilding the pool to the standard it should have been from day one.
Whether it's bringing a brand new pool to life from a patch of dirt, or stepping in to rescue a job that's gone wrong for someone else, we genuinely love both sides of this work, and we put the same care into every single one.
